Why Go Green?
After spending a summer coordinating weddings and events as an adult, something started to bother me that I couldn't shake. Every night, I would have anywhere from 7-10 (or more) gigantic trash bags FULL of waste, most of it could not be reused, recycled or composted. As someone who went to school for environmental restoration, I couldn't help myself. It got me to thinking about what this meant. If every single wedding and event ends like this, how much waste are we actually producing? What impact are we having on the environment? Some simple research revealed a jaw dropping reality that I simply couldn't ignore.

Did you know the average American wedding produces 400 pounds of garbage and 63 tons of carbon dioxide? If you're anything like me, that number is not only shocking but also very eye opening!

Does this mean we "can't have nice things" ?No, not at all. But if we can do better, why wouldn't we? As an animal and planet lover, going green is as important to me as making events beautiful and fun. That is why I have dedicated months of research to making weddings and events have less of an impact on our environment and future generations. If you want to go green for your event, ask me how, I will guide you through making your event as beautiful and planet friendly as possible!
